最近ある製薬企業で「ベンダーがIQドキュメントを用意していない」という不満を 聞いたことがあります。
ここで疑問。
「そのベンダーは、製薬業界でIQが必要要件であることを知っていながら、インス トレーション作業時にIQを行わないのか?
つまり、こちらから要求しないとIQをしないで、またExtra Chargeをとるのか？
そのベンダーでは、作業の品質保証をどういう考え方にもとづいて行っているの か?」
IQの目的には次の2つがあります。
1.設計された仕様どおりにシステムが正確に設置されることを保証するための文書化
2.災害の際などの即時復旧を行うための文書化
IQはベンダーにとっては彼らが作業するための必要最低限の文書であり、作成は 当然なのです。
でなければ、作業が効率的に進まないばかりか、何かあった際に 対応が大変です。
また障害発生時の再現が不可能になってしまいます。
ではIQはどの程度詳しく書くべきかですが、私は「専門家が見て作業できるレベル」 と定義しています。
災害復旧などの際にはやはり専門家（通常当該ベンダー）に作業を依頼するでしょ う。
素人が見て作業（理解）できる資料にする必要性はないわけです。
